Algerian traders expect that the local demand for steel rebar for September will be better due to hectic building industry in the period of Ramadan. Although the local price was down by nearly €40/ton last week, most South European mills would increase their rebar price by €15~20/ton for August. Moreover, Italian steel mill will cut its initial duration of plant maintenance from 4 weeks to 3 weeks.
